Comparison

Tile Lost and Found labels vs TangoTag stickers

The short answer: both are QR stickers a finder scans to reach you. Tile's labels are set up in the Tile app with a Tile account, show the finder the phone or email you added, and send you no alert when they're scanned. TangoTag needs no app or account, and the finder can call or text you, or leave a note that lands in your email.

Life360, which owns Tile, didn't list the labels in its store when we checked in October 2026, though packs still turn up at other sellers.

Tile details are from Life360's support pages on Lost and Found labels and Tile Lost and Found, checked October 2026.

The difference that matters: what happens after the scan

With a Tile label, the finder sees your contact details and the rest is up to them. If they'd rather not call or email a stranger, or your details are out of date, you never hear about it. Life360 is clear that the labels don't notify you.

With a TangoTag, the finder picks what's easiest for them. Call or text if you show your number. Or type a note like "left it at the front desk", share their location if they want to, and tap send. You get an email within moments, even if they never call.

When Tile's labels are the better pick

  • You already use Tile trackers and want your labels in the same app.
  • You're in the UK. TangoTag only ships to US addresses for now.
  • You need a label that goes through the dishwasher. Life360 says its labels are dishwasher-safe; we don't make that claim for ours.

When TangoTag is the better pick

  • You don't want another app or account.
  • You want to hear about it when someone finds your thing, not just hope they get in touch.
  • You want a pack you can put on everything: 2 large, 3 medium, 4 small and 5 extra-small, from laptops down to key fobs.

Neither one is a tracker

Tile also sells Bluetooth trackers that show where a thing is. Labels and stickers don't: they only help when a person finds your thing and scans it. If you need to locate a bag or a car key yourself, use a tracker, and put a sticker on it too for the finder. See how TangoTag works from both sides.

Questions

Does Tile still sell Lost and Found labels?

Life360's own store didn't list them when we checked in October 2026, though its support page still explains how to activate them and packs still turn up at other sellers. Check Life360's site before you buy if you want them for the Tile app.

Do Tile Lost and Found labels send a notification when scanned?

No. Life360's support page says the labels "do not provide location updates or notifications." A finder sees the contact info you added and has to reach you themselves.

Do I need the Tile app to use Tile labels?

Yes. Life360 says to activate each label in the Tile app, which means signing up with an email and password. TangoTag needs no app and no account.

Which is better if I already use Tile trackers?

If your things already live in the Tile app and you want labels managed in the same place, Tile's labels fit. If you want the finder to be able to leave you a note that lands in your email, or you'd rather not use an app at all, TangoTag fits better.

Stick one on everything you'd hate to lose.
