TangoTag is a product of PerfSpot LLC. The whole point of TangoTag is that a stranger can reach you without learning who you are. Here's what we collect to make that work, and who sees it.
What we collect
- From buyers: your email, your shipping address (collected by our payment provider at checkout), and, if you add them, the name finders see and a phone number.
- From finders: the phone number or email you leave, your first name if you give it, your message, and your location only if you choose to share it.
- From anyone who contacts us: your email, your name if you give it, and your message.
- From everyone: basic technical information, like your browser type, to keep the site working and protect it from abuse. We store IP addresses only in a scrambled form used for rate limits.
- Error reports: if something breaks on a page, a report of the error, without your messages or contact details.
Who sees it
What a finder sends goes to the sticker's owner and nobody else. The owner's email, phone number and address are never shown to the finder. The only thing a finder sees is the first name the owner chose, if they chose one.
We use a small number of service providers to run TangoTag, such as hosting, email delivery, payments, and error reporting. They handle data for us under their own terms. We don't sell your data, and we don't run ad trackers.
Cookies
TangoTag doesn't set cookies for tracking. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
Your choices
Owners can change their alert email, name and phone number any time with the code on their activation card. To have your data deleted, whether you're an owner, a finder, or someone who wrote to us, contact us and we'll take care of it.
Email communications
When you order, you'll receive transactional emails (order and shipping details, alerts when someone finds your things, confirmation when your settings change, and material service changes) and occasional product updates about TangoTag. You can opt out of product updates at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. Alert emails are required to use the service and cannot be opted out of while your stickers are active. We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use your email to market our other products without your separate explicit consent.
Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Where we operate
We operate from the United States. By using the service you acknowledge your data is processed in the US.
